Cricket Betting Markets
Cricket betting is not just about predicting the match winner — there are many more markets to choose from. Each market has its own characteristics and strategy.
| Market | Example |
|---|---|
| Match Winner | Bangladesh vs India — bet on Bangladesh to win. |
| Toss Winner | Bet in advance on which team will win the toss. |
| Top Batsman | Which batsman will score the most runs in a given innings. |
| Total Runs Over/Under | Will the team score more or less than 165 runs in 20 overs — choose over or under. |
| Session Runs | Bet on how many runs will be scored in a specific over. |
| Method of Dismissal | How the next wicket will fall — bowled, caught or run out. |
| Player of the Match | Bet in advance on who will be named the best player at the end of the match. |
Live In-Play Betting
Odds shift moment to moment while the game is in progress. When a wicket falls the batting team's odds increase, and a big six can swing the advantage. In-play betting is especially exciting in T20 matches — the market can change with every ball.
How to Read Odds
Decimal Odds (Most Common)
ng99 displays odds in decimal format by default. To calculate your total return in this format: bet amount × odds = total return.
Example: ৳500 bet at 1.80 odds → total return ৳500 × 1.80 = ৳900 (profit ৳400).
The higher the odds, the larger the potential payout — but the less likely the event is to occur.
Implied Probability
To calculate the implied probability from decimal odds: 1 ÷ odds × 100 = probability (%).
Example: 1.80 odds → 1 ÷ 1.80 × 100 ≈ 56% probability.
Other Odds Formats
Fractional
Mainly used in the British market. 4/5 means a ৳4 profit on a ৳5 bet. To convert to decimal: fraction + 1 = decimal odds.
American (Moneyline)
+150 means a ৳150 profit on a ৳100 bet; -150 means a ৳100 profit on a ৳150 bet. Less commonly used in Asia.
